May 2017 Boxycharm!

Hey everybody! Long time no speak! (11 months to be exact, haha) Life got a little hectic, I got a great new job with Estee Lauder as a beauty adviser and makeup artist, so I've just been really busy since my last post! But, I want to get back into the swing of things and I want to STAY this time. So I'm starting a new blog post off with May's Boxycharm Box! Yaaaaay! Okay, so as usual I like to start with my least favorite item and then work my way up to my most favorite item.

Item #1Temptu Liquid Glow.

Now, you guys all know I LOVE highlighters, they're probably one of my most favorite makeup products out there, BUT I am not a big fan of liquid highlighters, specifically this one. It doesn't blend the way I want it to, and it always leaves some sort of strange barrier between my skin and the highlighter once it's dried, looking completely and entirely unnatural. I don't know if I am the only one that has this problem, but I hope not. Don't get me wrong, the glow it gives is beautiful, it's just not my cup of tea! This liquid glow retails at $24 which is not bad considering the size and the little amount you need!

Item #2: IBY Highlight & Contour Palette.

This product is actually very nice, but it has sooo much fall out in the palette, it's very chalk-like. BUT, I LOVE the way it applies on to the skin, it's nice and buildable and blendable, which is great. The shades work very well for my skintone. I like to use contour shades 1 & 2 for overall contour, then I go in with 3 to deepen my contour. I use highlight 1 & 2 to highlight, obviously lol. I've actually been using it everyday! This contour palette retails at $40!

Item #3Crown Brushes Foundation Brush.

I was really excited for this brush because I've actually never used this style of brush, I have been wanting to for a long time, ever since Artis Brushes became popular. It does blend my foundation and concealer really nicely, I just wish it didn't soak up a lot of my product. I use Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and when I apply that foundation with a Beauty Blender I get more coverage, when I blend my foundation with this brush, I get less coverage. I've been using it for a few days to see how I really like it and I actually do really like it! I just make sure to put extra foundation on the areas I want more coverage. This brush retails for $24.99!

Item #4The BrowGal by Tonya Crooks Angled Brow Brush.

I really like this brush to apply my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow! It helps apply the product very smoothly, much like any other angled brow brush, except this one is very thin and precise, so there's not a ton of cleaning up to do afterwards. Not bad, BrowGal! This brush retails for $14!

Item #5The BrowGal by Tonya Crooks Convertible Brow Palette.

THIS was my favorite item in the box! As many should know, after I use my Dip Brow, I go in with a dark matte brown eye shadow to set and make my brows look more solid! No more matte brown eye shadows for me, Convertible Brow is where it's at! I like to use the darkest shade to set majority of my brow, then the lightest shade in the front for the gradient effect. This stuff is super pigmented so a little goes a long way, and I just absolutely love this brow powder! Once again, not bad BrowGal! This brow palette retails for $35!

This month's box had a value of... drum roll pleeeease!

$137.99! All for just $21 a month! Seriously if you aren't a subscriber already, you need to be! Best beauty sub out there, I always say I will be subscribed until I'm 100 years old!
