Kleancolor Madly Matte Lipglosses

Today's topic will be on this amazing beauty find that I recently discovered. I will be going over the pros and cons of these amazing lipglosses (they're actually liquid to matte lipsticks).

A couple of months ago, I found these liquid lipsticks online, my main source was their Instagram page "@kleancolor", but I clicked on the link in their bio which directed me to their website. Now, I've known about Kleancolor for quite awhile, you will usually find them in dollar stores, I found them at a store called Dollar King. When I originally found out about them it was because of their awesome nail polishes that I used to collect, but we can talk about those in another blog post some other time.

Anyway, I was debating on buying them because they are only about $2 a piece on their website, which is crazy affordable, but I decided to wait. Oddly enough, my best friend comes over a few weeks later and tells me "look what I found!" As she pulled out 4 of the liquid lipsticks. She found them at Dollar King. She let me try a couple on my lips and I actually really liked them. Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago, she tosses them to me and asks if I wanted them, without hesitation I said of course! She loved the colors  BUT they have a strong scent of coconut, every one of them, and she HATES coconut. I was pretty excited. A few days later I went to Dollar King to see what other colors they had, but they only had mostly pinks and purples, I'm assuming a lot of people bought the rest of the colors, so I picked up 3 more colors of which I liked the most out of the small selection of color choices.  I picked them up for roughly $1.50 each, which you cannot beat.

Okay, so let's talk about the actual product-

The Formula: The formula is kind of like a hybrid between liquid and mousse, which I love. It's not too thin but not too thick either. The formula can be a bit drying to very drying depending on your lips, it doesn't bother me much, but I would suggest using a lip primer, and if it is necessary, a lip balm, too. They aren't completely matte, but they are matte enough to where it doesn't really transfer, in other words, kiss-proof. They last quite awhile, even after eating and drinking, licking your lips unknowingly, talking, etc. I would compare this formula to the L.A. Girl MATTE Flat Finish Pigment Glosses.

The Scent: The scent is identical to coconuts. It has a very strong coconut smell, which I don't mind, but a lot of people might not like it. It smells like I'm sitting in a coconut store in Hawaii, I don't even know if that exists, but if it does, that would be it.

The Application: The application varies by color. The lilac shade "French Lilac" is a bit blotchy but can be prevented by using a matching lip liner all over the lips before applying, and then applying 2 layers of it, same goes for "Winterberry." The rest of the colors I own are pretty opaque and solid, especially the pinks.

The Packaging: The packaging is solid. It's sort of like a "glasstic" tube. I just made that word up, but to me it describes the feeling of glass, but is plastic, lol. It holds a normal amount of product, just like any other brand that makes liquid lipsticks. And the applicator is stiff, which I love about it. The wand doesn't wiggle or bend, it's just very stiff and solid, it makes it easier for me to manipulate where I want the product to go.

I give this product an overall rating of 3.8 out of 5 stars. That is only because of the blotchiness of some of the shades. Not too bad, right?

I love them, but I'm not IN love with them, ya know? But for such a good price on these, it's not like you're wasting a ton of money if you don't like it. I would definitely buy again, and I will, no doubt about it. I know that Dollar King tends to cycle out their products, if you can't find it or don't have a location near you, you can always order on Amazon below! :)

Hope you enjoyed this post!
